The name of article is Emperor Penguin, and it is from website which is called Animal Fact Guild for Kids. ( https://animalfactguide.com/animal-facts/emperor-penguin/ ) In the the first part of article, it is talking about the features of the Emperor Penguin. Things like that emperor penguin is the largest of seventeen species of penguin at 1.15 meter tall, they inhabit the open ice of Antarctica during the winter, the worse environment that they have to face, how they move around, who are their natural enemies, what they would like to eat, and so on. Therefore, I think this part of article can be represented by the picture of classroom, and a penguin teacher is teaching these features. In addition, this is a children approach article, so I use a penguin teacher as the main character through the entire project, which helps to connect the whole story.
The second parts of this article talks about the conservation status. Emperor penguins are considered to be extinct in near future. They face several threats due to human activity, such as, rising temperatures due to global warming will reduce emperor penguin breeding grounds and overfishing will limit their source of food. It is projected that their population will decline rapidly over the next three generations as a result of climate change. In this case, I made the drawing that penguins are leaving their homeland because there is no longer to be suitable for them to live.
The last part is what people can do to help. It talks about that if people would like to help emperor penguins, they can reduce carbon emissions which lead to global warming. I draw the teacher penguin who is yelling out “stand your ground.” I want this drawing to show the children that penguins need a place to live in a NiCE way, rather than let the children feel under stress that they would worry about the future very much, and feel so bad.
